Each summer (usually the third week of July), Messiah Lutheran Church will host a week long vacation Bible school for kids ages Pre-Kindergarden through 8th grade.  Each day the VBS is held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  On the Sunday following the week of VBS, the children present a review of what was learned throughout the week to the congregation. 

VBS is staffed with volunteers.  Everyone has talents and your actions, care, and love are things that show children God's love in real life.  Concordia Publishing House (CPH) materials are used with easy-to-use lessons and Bible stories that help children meet Jesus everyday.  There are several areas where volunteers can help:  teaching, crafts, music, games, snacks, crew leaders, decorating, taking pictures, registration, and advertising.  It's a great opportunity to have fun and learn about Jesus through songs and all kinds of fun activities.  Watch our announcements for specific dates and times.  If you have questions or need any additional information, you can contact Lois Hoy at 816-461-2884 or the church office at 816-254-9405.
