| Description | The Acolyte Servers involves boys and girls 5th Grade through 8th Grade. Robed in surplices and skirted, they light and Chancel and Altar candles for the worship services. Two acolytes are scheduled for each worship service. A monthly schedule is included in the "Messiah Messenger Newsletter" with a follow-up phone call the week prior to the service. This service is essential to our worship services as it sets the tone for attentive and contemplative worship. It also precludes for the participants the attitude of service and dedication to their Lord and Savior as part of the Christian Life. |
